Chelsea will make their long-awaited return to Premier League action against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Sunday 21 June according to reports on the club’s official website.

The Blues were due to take on Dean Smith’s struggling Villa side immediately before the Premier League was suspended in March and their campaign looks set to now kick-off from the same position where it was left three months ago.

Prior to that three-month lay-off, Aston Villa had lost their last four Premier League matches and were second-bottom of the table with 25 points from 28 matches. Villa lost the reverse fixture 2-1 at Stamford Bridge back in December.

It has been reported that Chelsea’s Premier League fixtures will resume with a trip to Villa Park on Sunday 21 June. The match will kick-off at 4.15pm and will be screened live on Sky Sports.

Chelsea’s first home fixture will be against Manchester City on Thursday 25 June. The game will kick-off at 8.15pm and is set to be televised on BT Sport. The Blues will then travel to West Ham United on Wednesday 1 July with that fixture being screened live on Sky Sports at 8.15pm.

Details of Chelsea’s other six Premier League fixtures will be finalised in due course.
