Chelsea midfielder Drew Spence has signed a new two-year deal with the club according to reports by The Blues’ official website.
The 27-year-old London-born midfielder is a club legend after spending the last 12 years as a Chelsea player. Spence has helped The Blues rise through the footballing pyramid to go on to become one of the biggest clubs in European football.
Spence was set to become a free agent in the summer but it has now been confirmed that the player has agreed a new deal with Chelsea which will keep her at Kingsmeadow until summer 2022.
The midfielder has made 198 senior appearances for Chelsea in which she has won three league titles including the 2017 FA Women’s Super League 1 Spring Series. She has also reached three Women’s FA Cup finals with The Blues, winning two, while she lifted the FA Women’s Continental League Cup with the club last month.
