Chelsea Under-18s have continued their push to lift the Under-18 Premier League South title with a 4-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion at Cobham on Friday evening.
Miles Peart-Harris netted a brace while there were also goals for Marcel Lewis and Dion Rankine as The Blues returned to the top of the table.
The Blues took the lead in the 19th minute when Thierno Ballo got a clever shot in on goal and while visiting keeper Roco Rees pushed his effort away, teammate Peart-Harris was there to fire the ball home.
Ed Brand’s side went 2-0 up seven minutes before the break when Lewis’ corner kick got caught in the wind and went straight into the net before Ballo had an effort cleared off the line.
Chelsea added to their lead early in the second half when Valentino Livramento played in Peart-Harris to net his second goal of the game before Rankine’s arrowed strike made it 4-0 with around half an hour remaining.
The Blues thought that they had a fifth goal when debutant Bryan Fiabema had the ball in the net but the officials deemed that the player was offside and his effort was chalked of as Chelsea ended 4-0 winners.
Chelsea are back in action on Thursday evening when they take on Millwall in the FA Youth Cup quarter-finals at Stamford Bridge.
