Chelsea face Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Monday evening with The Blues keen to collect an important three points in the English Premier League.

The meeting will be the 186th in all competitions and sees Chelsea face a Manchester United side who have been out of sorts this season.

Ahead of the match, we take a look back at the history books as we review the last three meetings between the two sides.

28 April 2019 – Manchester United 1 Chelsea 1 (English Premier League)

Chelsea took a sizeable step towards UEFA Champions League qualification with a 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

It was United who took an 11th-minute lead when midfielder Juan Mata netted against his former side.

The Red Devils were the better side throughout the first half but Chelsea levelled just before half-time when home keeper David de Gea spilt Antonio Rudiger’s long range shot and Marcos Alonso scrambled the ball home.

The second half was disrupted with a handful of injuries but Chelsea were unlucky not to have claimed the three points at the death when de Gea superbly denied Gonzalo Higuain the winner.

11 August 2019 – Manchester United 4 Chelsea 0 (English Premier League)

A young Chelsea side fell to a heavy 4-0 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The home side took an 18th-minute lead when Marcus Rashford slotted home a penalty kick but they had to wait until after the hour mark until Anthony Martial made it 2-0 with a shot from close range.

Rashford then struck United’s third to complete his brace before Daniel James netted a debut goal as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side taught Chelsea a harsh lesson.

30 October 2019 – Chelsea 1 Manchester United 2 (Carabao Cup)

Manchester United reached the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup by beating Chelsea 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.

Marcos Alonso fouled Daniel James to give United a first half penalty which was successfully dispatched by Marcus Rashford.

Michy Batshuayi levelled for the home side just after the hour mark before Rashford’s stunning long range effort won the match for United.

The latest meeting is scheduled to kick-off at 8pm on Monday evening and will be screened live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League channels.
