Chelsea have agreed a deal with Dutch club Ajax to sign winger Hakim Ziyech at the end of the season according to reports on The Blues’ official website.

The 26-year-old Moroccan international will officially move to Stamford Bridge when the transfer window reopens on the 1 July.

No official transfer fee has been revealed by the South West Londoners, however, it is thought that they will pay Ajax around £38 million for the player.

Ziyech has played in the Dutch Eredivisie for his entire career to date. The winger started his senior career with Heerenveen before moving to FC Twente where he netted a goal almost every other game. Ziyech then moved on to Ajax where he has spent the last three-and-a-half years of his career. The midfielder has made 159 appearances for The Sons of the Gods while he has scored 47 goals.

Ajax have crowned Ziyech as their Player of the Season in each of the last two seasons while the former Dutch youth international was named in the UEFA Champions League Squad of the Season in 2018/2019. The winger has ended four Eredivisie campaigns with the division’s most assists which he has been in the Team of the Season in each of the last three years.

Ziyech did not score in either of Ajax’s UEFA Champions League group fixtures against Chelsea this season.
