Chelsea midfielder Clinton Mola has joined German 2.Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart on a permanent deal according to the club’s official website.

The 18-year-old has been a regular for The Blues’ Under-18 side in the last couple of years and he has recently made the step up to Development Squad level.

It has now been revealed that the Londoner has joined German 2.Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart on a permanent deal. The player could be considered for a senior debut once he receives international clearance.

Mola joined Chelsea as a 14-year-old following a successful trial spell at the club. The player was a treble winner with The Blues in 2017/2018 at Under-18 level. Mola won the Under-18 Premier League with Chelsea while he also lifted the FA Youth Cup and Under-18 Premier League Cup.

The youngster signed his first professional terms with The Blues last summer but was set to be out of contract this summer. Mola had not agreed a new deal with the club and has therefore opted to move on.

Mola joins a Stuttgart side who are in third place in the 2.Bundesliga table. The club are only outside of the automatic play-off positions on goal difference and they are keen to return to the top flight once again next season.
