Chelsea midfielder George McEachran has joined Dutch Eerste Divisie club SC Cambuur on loan for the remainder of the 2019/2020 campaign according to reports by The Blues’ official website.

The 19-year-old Oxford-born midfielder has been a regular for The Blues at Under-23 level but will now enjoy his first senior football away from Stamford Bridge.

It has been revealed that the teenager will learn his trade in the Dutch second tier with SC Cambuur. The Yellow and Blues currently top the Eerste Divisie table by just a point and manager Henk de Jong will hope that Chelsea youngster McEachran can help his side complete their successful push for the title.

During his time within the Chelsea academy, McEachran has lifted the FA Youth Cup on two occasions and the Under-18 Premier League Cup once. He has also won the Under-18 Premier League Cup on two occasions.

On the international stage, McEachran has represented England at various youth levels and he was a FIFA Under-17 World Cup winner with The Young Lions in 2017.

The midfielder is rated very highly by Chelsea and McEachran will be hoping that his first loan move will help him prove his worth to Blues boss Frank Lampard in the long term.
