Chelsea will be looking to make a bold statement in the race for UEFA Champions League qualification when Liverpool are the visitors to Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

Frank Lampard’s young side have gone goal-crazy in recent weeks and while there is certainly room for improvement at the back, anything might just be possible with the current Chelsea squad.

Frenchman N’Golo Kante could make his long-awaited return to the side after recovering from an ankle problem. While defender Emerson Palmieri and midfielder Mason Mount face late fitness tests on their respective injuries. The Blues have no other injury concerns following their 1-0 home defeat to Valencia in the UEFA Champions League in midweek.

Liverpool arrive at Stamford Bridge boasting the English Premier League’s only remaining 100% record this season. The Reds have scored three or more goals in four of their five league matches this season and are a real threat in the opposition box.

Jurgen Klopp’s side remain without first choice goalkeeper Alisson through injury along with defender Nathaniel Clyne. Forward Divlock Origi is a doubt for the match with the player currently battling an ankle injury. Midfielder Naby Keita could return.

The match is scheduled to kick-off at 4.30pm and will be screened live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League channels.
