Tammy Abraham netted his first Chelsea hat-trick as The Blues won 5-2 at Wolverhampton Wanderers this afternoon.

The former Aston Villa loanee netted his treble in the space of 21 minutes, although he also got on the scoresheet at the wrong end with an own goal.

Chelsea took the lead just after the half-hour mark. Defender Fikayo Tomori took aim from 25 yards and superbly found the corner of the net, a truly wonderful way to open your senior goalscoring account with The Blues.

Striker Abraham soon pounced to score Chelsea’s second from close range before his header made it 3-0 to Frank Lampard’s men before the half-time whistle had sounded.

Abraham completed his hat-trick 10 minutes into the second half when he saw off a challenge from Conor Coady before firing the ball home from inside the area.

The home side then pulled a goal back when Romain Saiss’ header struck Abraham before crossing the line.

Italian Patrick Cutrone scrambled in a late goal for Wolves to take the scoreline back to 4-2 before Mason Mount struck deep in second half injury time as Chelsea grabbed a fifth on an afternoon of real hope for the club.

The Blues are back in action on Tuesday evening when Valencia are the visitors to Stamford Bridge in the UEFA Champions League.
