Chelsea youngster Juan Castillo has joined Dutch club Ajax on a loan deal for the remainder of the season according to The Blues’ official website.

The 19-year-old winger is yet to make his first team debut for The Blues but has been impressive with Joe Edwards’ Development Squad.

It has been reported that the youngster will get his first taste of senior football with Dutch giants Ajax. The Sons of the Gods won the Eredivisie last season and head coach Erik ten Hag has identified Chelsea teenager Castillo as a player who can help bolster the squad at the Johan Cruyff Arena.

Dutchman Castillo was born in Amsterdam and joined Chelsea from Ajax in 2016. The player was a youth team captain in his former spell with the Eredivisie club.

Since joining Chelsea, Castillo has helped the club’s Under-18s lift the FA Youth Cup while he has starred for The Blues in the UEFA Youth League. The winger signed his first professional terms at Stamford Bridge in 2017 and he will be hoping that his loan move to Ajax will help his chances of a first team debut for Chelsea upon his return to England.

Chelsea have been drawn with Ajax in Group H in this season’s UEFA Champions League. The player is unlikely to be permitted to face his parent club.
