New Chelsea manager Frank Lampard will be hoping to finally chalk up his first victory as Blues boss when he takes his side to Carrow Road to take on newly-promoted side Norwich City on Saturday lunchtime.
The Blues have collected just one point from their opening two English Premier League matches while they were defeated by Liverpool on penalty kicks in the UEFA Super Cup.
On Saturday, the South West Londoners come up against a Norwich City side who are beginning to enjoy their return to the English Premier League.
The home side will go into the match without Cuban winger Onel Hernandez who was recently ruled out of action for three months with a lateral meniscus tear while Time Klose and Christoph Zimmermann remain sidelined with their respective knee injuries.
Adam Idah and Josip Drmic could return to the matchday squad for The Canaries while Alex Tettey, Ibrahim Amadou and Mario Vrancic are all pushing for starts.
Chelsea boss Lampard takes his side to Norfolk with no new injury concerns. Midfielders Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Callum Hudson-Odoi are the long term absentees in The Blues’ squad with neither player nearing a return.
Antonio Rudiger and Michy Batshuayi got minutes under their belts with the Development Squad in midweek with the latter scoring two goals. Both players could come into contention for Saturday’s fixture. Willian and Tammy Abraham are also thought to be being considered for recalls to the starting XI.
The match is scheduled to kick-off at 12.30pm and will be screened live on BT Sport 1.
