Chelsea Under-18s have learnt of their three opponents in the group stages of this season’s Under-18 Premier League Cup.
The Blues have won two out of two in the Under-18 Premier League so far this season and Ed Brand’s side will be looking to win silverware this season following a trophyless campaign in 2018/2019.
The draw for this season’s Under-18 Premier League has been made and it has been revealed that The Blues will face some tough opposition in the group stage of the competition. Brand’s side will face last season’s Under-18 Premier League Southern Division champions Arsenal while they will also take on Blackburn Rovers and Wolverhampton Wanderers of the northern section.
Chelsea have already played Arsenal this season and they came out on top against a Gunners side which finished 16 points ahead of them in the league table last season. Forward Armando Broja netted both goals as The Blues recorded an impressive 2-1 win.
Other opponents Blackburn Rovers and Wolverhampton Wanderers both finished in the bottom half of the Under-18 Premier League Northern Division last season and Chelsea will fancy their chances against those two sides.
Chelsea will begin their assault on the Under-18 Premier League Cup with a trip to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday 28 September. They will welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers to Cobham on Saturday 26 October before facing Arsenal at home on Saturday 23 November.
