Chelsea will face no less than three other FA Women’s Super League clubs in the group stage of this season’s FA Women’s Continental League Cup after the draw was made earlier today.

The Blues reached the semi-final stage of the competition last season before being beaten by eventual winners Manchester City at Kingsmeadow.

The draw for the group stage of this season’s competition has been concluded and it has been revealed that The Blues will take on top flight rivals Reading, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United as well as Crystal Palace and Lewes of the FA Women’s Championship.

This season’s tournament will commence after the beginning of the FA Women’s Super League. Chelsea’s first FA Women’s Continental League Cup match will be staged on the weekend of 21/22 September 2019 and matches will continue at various periods until mid-December.

Chelsea begin the 2019/2020 campaign with an FA Women’s Super League fixture against newly-promoted Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday 8 September. That fixture will be held at Stamford Bridge and tickets have completely sold out. Chelsea have put a waiting list system in force to enable as many fans as possible to attend the match. The Blues opted to make all tickets free of charge to all supporters.
