Young Chelsea quartet Sam McClelland, Tariq Uwakwe, Juan Castillo and George McEachran have all signed new contracts with the club according to The Blues’ official website.

The four players all impressed at their respective levels last season and they have been rewarded for their good performances with new deals by The Blues.

It has been reported that Uwakwe, Castillo and McEachran have all signed three-year contract extensions at Stamford Bridge and the trio are expected to continue their development with Joe Edwards’ Under-23s side in the Premier League 2 during the coming season. All three players have won the FA Youth Cup during their time with The Blues while they have all played significant roles in Chelsea’s adventures in the UEFA Youth League in recent seasons.

Teenage defender McClelland has signed his first professional terms with the South West Londoners after putting in some impressive displays for Andy Myers’ Under-18 side in 2018/2019.

A number of youngsters have ended their Chelsea careers with their contracts having expired yesterday. It has been revealed that Marcin Bulka, Jared Thompson, Joseph Colley, Renedi Masampu, Todd Kane, Ruben Sammut, Josimar Quintero and Martell Taylor-Crossdale are those players who have departed. Like many of their teammates, these players have all contributed to bringing silverware to the club in recent seasons.
