Young Chelsea goalkeeper Nathan Baxter has joined Ladbrokes Premiership club Ross County on a season-long loan deal according to The Blues’ official website.

The 20-year-old Westminster-born stopper is yet to make a senior appearance for The Blues and he will continue to gain first team experience away from Stamford Bridge next season.

It has been announced that Scottish top flight new boys Ross County have agreed to take Baxter on loan for the entire 2019/2020 campaign. The keeper will play top flight football for the first time in his senior career with the Highland club.

Baxter has been on the books at parent club Chelsea since the age of eight. Since graduating from the club’s academy system, the keeper has spent time on loan at the Metropolitan Police, Solihull Moors and Woking before making 38 appearances for relegated Sky Bet League Two club Yeovil Town last season. During his time at Huish Park, Baxter became the only teenage professional goalkeeper in England to make 100 senior career appearances.

The player’s latest loan club Ross County were promoted back to the Ladbrokes Premiership at the first attempt after securing automatic promotion this season. The Staggies finished the season six points ahead of nearest title-challengers Dundee United.
