Chelsea’s pre-season preparations are well and truly in full swing with The Blues having arranged four fixtures to date.

Maurizio Sarri’s side are set to regroup for pre-season training in early July with the new English Premier League season scheduled to commence on Saturday 10 August.

The Blues have moved quickly to get the wheels in motion with the club having already arranged no less than four pre-season friendlies.

First up is the club’s Asia tour to Japan. Chelsea take on Japanese outfit Kawasaki Frontale in the J.League World Challenge at the Nissan Stadium in Yokohama on Friday 19 July. Four days later, the South West Londoners will travel to Midori-ku where they will face FC Barcelona at the Saitama Stadium 2002.

Sarri’s side will then return to England for a pre-season friendly with Sky Bet Championship club Reading at The Madejski Stadium on Sunday 28 July.

Chelsea’s final match will see them travel to Austria where they will take on FC Red Bull Salzburg on Wednesday 31 July in a match which will take place at the Red Bull Arena.

With a 10-day gap between the final pre-season friendly and the start of the season, Chelsea are likely to arrange at least one further warm-up fixture with the trend in previous years being a home game at Stamford Bridge.
