Chelsea FC Women have completed the signing of Norwegian international forward Guro Reiten according to the club’s official website.

The Blues ended the 2018/2019 campaign trophyless and manager Emma Hayes has moved quickly in the transfer market to secure her first deal of the summer.

It has been reported that 24-year-old forward Reiten has joined Chelsea from Norwegian club LSK Kvinner. The player will officially complete her move to Kingsmeadow on Monday 15 July following her involvement in the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019 with Norway.

Reiten started her career with Norwegian minnows Sunndal before spending time with Kattem and Trondheims-Orn. In 2017, the player moved to latest club LSK Kvinner where she has gone on to flourish in both the Norwegian Toppserien and in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. The attacker has been the top scorer in her division in each of the last three seasons while her performances for her club this season have resulted in Reiten being crowned the Player of the Year.

Reiten is said to boast some of the world’s best attacking qualities while the player’s versatility allows her to play either in attack or out on the wing.

The forward could make her first Chelsea appearance in the club’s French Cup fixture against Montpellier HSC Feminines in July.
