Chelsea will be looking to reach the final of this season’s UEFA Europa League when they take on German club Eintracht Frankfurt in the second leg of their semi-final tie at Stamford Bridge on Thursday evening.

The two sides are tied after the first leg, however, Pedro netted The Blues an all-important away goal in a 1-1 draw.

Chelsea go into the match without Antonio Rudiger and Callum Hudson-Odoi with the pair having been ruled out of action for the remainder of the season. Veteran defender Gary Cahill continues to struggle with an Achilles injury and is unlikely to make the squad while midfielder N’Golo Kante has pulled a hamstring and is unavailable.

German opponents Eintracht Frankfurt lost 6-1 at Bayer Leverkusen at the weekend but manager Adi Hutter opted to make several changes for that match.

Mijat Gacinovic, Ante Rebic and star man Luka Jovic are among those likely to be recalled to the Eintracht Frankfurt starting XI for the semi-final tie at The Bridge while forward Sebastien Haller could return after a lengthy absence.

Full-back Timothy Chandler is pushing for a place amongst the substitutes after successfully recovering from a long-term injury while midfielder Sebastian Rode could face a late fitness test on a toe problem.

The match is scheduled to kick-off at 8pm and will be screened live on BT Sport 3.
