Chelsea will be hoping to continue their push for a top four finish in the English Premier League when they take on Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
The Blues have a realistic chance of securing qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League, however, they must overcome the challenge of title-hopefuls Liverpool to remain in fourth position for at least another week.
The hosts go into the match with no new injury concerns. Defender Andy Robertson is available once again following his suspension for the midweek UEFA Champions League quarter-final first leg tie with FC Porto while Adam Lallana and Joe Gomez have been declared fit following their recent injury problems.
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri also has no further injuries following his side’s 1-0 win in Prague in midweek, although the Italian will consider whether to risk youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi who is suffering with fatigue.
David Luiz, N’Golo Kante, Eden Hazard and Gonzalo Higuain could all be recalled to the starting XI after being rested for the club’s UEFA Europa League quarter-final first leg tie on Thursday.
The match is scheduled to kick-off at 4.30pm on Sunday afternoon and will be screened live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League channels.
