Chelsea have made it three wins out of three in the English Premier League with a 2-0 victory over West Ham United at Stamford Bridge this evening.

Eden Hazard was The Blues’ hero with both goals as Maurizio Sarri’s men recorded a long-awaited home victory over The Hammers.

Chelsea started the match the brighter of the two sides and Emerson Palmieri and N’Golo Kante fired efforts from range wide of the West Ham United goal.

Sarri’s men took the lead in the 24th minute when Hazard danced his way through the visitors’ defence before slotting the ball beyond The Hammers keeper Lucasz Fabianski, a truly stunning goal from the Belgian attacker.

Gonzalo Higuain soon saw an effort clawed away from danger by Fabianski before Callum Hudson-Odoi also tested the Polish keeper as Chelsea went into the break 1-0 up.

The second half saw Manuel Lanzini and Felipe Anderson both register tame efforts on goal for West Ham United either side of a Hudson-Odoi shot which was well saved by Fabianski.

Hazard and substitute Olivier Giroud both tried to put the game to bed but their shots were nothing more than routine for visiting keeper Fabianski.

The Blues had to wait until injury time to make sure of the victory when Barkley played in Hazard and the player curled an accurate shot into the net.

Chelsea are back in action on Thursday evening when they travel to the Czech Republic to take on Slavia Prague in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League.
