Chelsea are aiming to build on their recent winning run when West Ham United are the visitors to Stamford Bridge in the English Premier League on Monday evening.
The Blues have beaten both Cardiff City and Brighton & Hove Albion in the nine days prior to their latest fixture, although Monday night’s opponents West Ham United should provide stiffer opposition.
Chelsea go into the match without Ethan Ampadu and forgotten man Marco van Ginkel who both continue to be sidelined through injury. Marcos Alonso has recovered from a hamstring injury and is ready to play while Pedro should also be available for selection following a muscle pull.
West Ham United boss Manuel Pellegrini will welcome back a trio of players for the trip to Stamford Bridge. Defender Ryan Fredericks and midfield pair Samir Nasri and Filipe Anderson could all be considered for places in the starting XI against their London rivals.
The reverse fixture in September was dominated by The Blues but they could not make the breakthrough as the match ended goalless. Maurizio Sarri’s men created 17 chances in the match but were unable to find a way past home keeper Lucasz Fabianski.
Tomorrow night’s meeting is scheduled to kick-off at 8pm and will be screened live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League.
