Chelsea FC Women will face FA Women’s Super League title rivals Arsenal at home in the fifth round of this season’s SSE Women’s FA Cup after the draw was made on Monday evening.

The match is a replay of last season’s SSE Women’s FA Cup final. Chelsea won that match 3-1 thanks to a brace from Ramona Bachmann and a Fran Kirby goal in-front of a record crowd at Wembley Stadium.

The pair will now go head-to-head at Kingsmeadow later this month as Chelsea look for revenge for their shock 5-0 defeat at the hands of The Gunners in October.

Chelsea find themselves in the fifth round of this season’s SSE Women’s FA Cup courtesy of a 2-0 win at struggling Everton on Sunday. To their credit, The Blue Girls held Chelsea to a goalless draw for over an hour before Drew Spence broke the deadlock for Emma Hayes’ side. Defender Hannah Blundell rounded-off the scoring for the South West Londoners in injury time.

Fifth round opponents Arsenal defeated lower league opposition in their fourth round tie in the form of Crawley Wasps. The Gunners won 4-0 in Sussex with youngster Ruby Grant grabbing the headlines with a hat-trick.

Chelsea’s fixture against Arsenal is scheduled to take place on Sunday 17 February with full details to be announced in due course.
